Connor Bailey
- Master of Public Policy, Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago
- BA, Physics and English Literature, Grinnell College
Most recently, Connor worked with the Community Funding Accelerator team to help a large public-private partnership assemble competitive grant proposals for Tech Hubs, a CHIPS Act-created regional economic development program focused on strategic technologies.
Before that, he planned and facilitated a retreat with a private sector client focused on building and running the kind of industry-scale battery storage the electrical grid will need to transition to sustainable energy.
At a nonprofit consultancy focused on disability policy, Connor assisted with the planning and facilitation of a multi-state learning collaborative that brought together state agencies and brain-injury survivors to pilot, adopt, and iterate a variety of new approaches for providing support while ensuring that programs centered the needs and wisdom of the communities they affected.
In graduate school, Connor co-led a team that researched racial bias in the residential appraisal process and created a comprehensive report for the Chicago Community Trust. The report included analysis and recommendations informed by deep policy and academic research; original data analysis; and conversations with researchers, government officials, and other stakeholders.
