Associate Director - North America
As an Associate Director, you will work with leaders on projects related to economic and workforce development to enable education pathways for equitable workforce outcomes. You will also lead our growing portfolio of work in inclusive economic development in the US, contributing to the overall leadership of Delivery Associates as part of a larger team of Global Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and implement a strategic vision for the inclusive economic development portfolio, in partnership with other ADs.
- Set and manage the annual budget for their portfolio, in partnership with other ADs.
- Contribute to decisions on the overall strategic vision of Delivery Associates, overseen by the board.
- Successfully identify new opportunities and convert them into wins.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of talent in the region through active coaching of teams.
- Contribute to and lead impact on projects through the teams they lead.
- Line and performance management for employees in the region.
- Lead through others on multiple projects and regional priorities, demonstrating comfort amid ambiguity, proactivity, dependability and excellent work.
- Think logically to sequence and plan the delivery of government strategy with pace, optimism, and urgency.
- Report on the progress of the region to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

Required Skills/Experiences
- 10-15 years of experience working in public sector consulting, government, development banks, and/or public policy.
- Experience leading and delivering inclusive economic transformation programs.
- Knowledge of education policy, economic & workforce development, or career-connected learning pathways is highly desirable.
- Display sound political and technical judgment that helps build momentum, enable change and overcome barriers to success.
- Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders in various public sector settings, particularly in the region where they will be working.
- Experience supporting work with US federal grants is preferred.
- Deep capacity-building and training skills with experience in creating and offering products and learning programs to public sector partners in the region.
