Job Description

What is a Delivery Analyst? 

This remote position will see you working closely with the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit in The Bahamas, two in-country Delivery Associates colleagues, and colleagues across Delivery Associates’ global network. for a two-year fixed-term contract (with possibility to extend). 

You will support DA and PMDU leaders, including through use of data, to successfully deliver their highest priority initiatives for The Government. 

In particular, you will: 

  • Support identification of (and agreement to) meaningful, measurable targets for these initiatives, using data; 
  • Lead data analysis to generate insights and information on implementation of priorities 
  • Lead development of user-friendly data products for leadership meetings, to assist leaders in solving problems and tracking progress in priority areas; 
  • Lead the collation and analysis of data to create a clear, continuous picture of delivery progress; 
  • Support colleagues working on monitoring and evaluation by providing advice on effective data collection and collation; and 
  • Use data to trouble-shoot implementation issues as they arise. 

Our work in The Bahamas

Delivery Associates (DA) has been supporting the Government of The Bahamas since January 2018 to establish the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) and advance its work applying the Deliverology® approach to implementation of the Government’s agenda.

PMDU has been tasked by the Prime Minister with supporting the delivery of its 8 priority areas: health, energy efficiency, education, revenue, youth empowerment, digitalization, relief, and energy infrastructure. Delivering on this ambitious reform agenda will entail helping relevant Ministries and agencies involved in them with applying the Deliverology® approach to delivering the goals. 

Who are we looking for? 

For this vacancy we are seeking a candidate with particular skills in data. You should be able to present economic and project-related data in intuitive, interesting, and user-friendly ways—including through graphs, charts and maps. 

In addition, you should have strong, adaptable communication skills which enable you to work with PMDU officials on a remote capacity. 

Successful candidates will be able to: 

  • Use data to identify issues and solve problems – expertise in data collection and analysis, including in conveying information to a lay audience. 
  • Build relationships – experience building trust-based relationships and partnerships to deliver shared goals. 
  • Solve problems – logically analyze issues and identify potential solutions. 
  • Work well in a team – able to work well with busy and diverse teams. 
  • Write high-quality presentations and reports – able to write concise, clear, and structured documents. 
  • Think logically – able to assist with sequencing and planning delivery. 

Other requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Based in Latin America or The Caribbean
  • 3 years professional experience in a relevant sector
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Availability to start in September 2022
