Job Description

What is a Delivery Associate? 

Join Delivery Associates as a Delivery Associate and help transform the way governments work to improve peoples’ lives. A Delivery Associate works in small teams to engage government leaders, partners, and specialized experts in delivering the greatest impact to citizens through policy driven work.

As a Delivery Associate, you’ll work closely with public sector clients in The Bahamas to design and implement strategies that deliver on policy commitments. You will improve policy outcomes through your work to formulate and test recommendations and by driving decision making at senior levels of government. You’ll facilitate problem solving and collaboration across silos, planning and executing stakeholder workshops and bringing pace and focus to routine meetings. And you’ll build capacity for data driven decision making with Deliverology® to help our clients deliver meaningful, measurable results for citizens. 

Our work in The Bahamas

Delivery Associates (DA) has been supporting the Government of The Bahamas since January 2018 to establish the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) and advance its work applying the Deliverology® approach to implementation of the Government’s agenda.

PMDU has been tasked by the Prime Minister with supporting the delivery of its 8 priority areas: health, energy efficiency, education, revenue, youth empowerment, digitalization, relief, and energy infrastructure. Delivering on this ambitious reform agenda will entail helping relevant Ministries and agencies involved in them with applying the Deliverology® approach to delivering the goals. 

Who are we looking for? 

Ideal candidates are interested in supporting our growing partnership opportunities across Latin America and The Caribbean and bring robust client facing experience in public sector contexts or direct experience delivering results through public service. A successful candidate is: 

  • Analytically minded, capable of breaking down problems and finding logical, creative solutions driven by data and evidence
  • A self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able and excited to lead complex and high-stakes client interactions and planning logistics, including communications and vendor management
  • Organized and output oriented
  • Highly independent and accountable, with ability to efficiently complete many complicated tasks without close supervision (e.g., in a remote-office arrangement)
  • Capable of learning Delivery Associates tools and approaches, with aptitude to directly support (and occasionally fill in for) DA Delivery Leaders as needed

Other requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant, full-time work experience in government, consulting, public policy, and/or relevant field
  • Availability to start as early as September 2022
  • 1-year initial contract, with potential for longer-term extension 
  • Based in Nassau, The Bahamas or ability to relocate
  • Fluency in English is required
