Our work in Hawaii
With support from the Stupski Foundation, we are partnering with the University of Hawai`i Community Colleges (UHCC) and Hawai`i P-20 in support of their ambitious goal to increase college going and degree attainment rates of public high school graduates. We are conducting a developmental evaluation of two projects: “One Click Admissions” for UH Community Colleges and Pathways to Success, a summer bridge and first-year support program for cohorts of targeted high school graduates from low-income schools.
Role description
In this role, you will work closely with several remote Delivery Associates colleagues and partners at UHCC / P-20 to manage the program evaluation -using both quantitative and qualitative methods- and associated activities. You will be engaged as a part-time (10%) contractor.
In particular, you will:
- Work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to understand progress
- Facilitate problem-solving, learning, and continuous improvement
- Develop evaluation instruments, both quantitative (regression analysis) and qualitative (surveys and interview guides)
- Conduct focus groups, interviews, and/or field observations to answer qualitative research questions
- Support quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
- Write reports and present findings
- Establish and drive regular routines for convening stakeholders
- Support high-level meetings, including planning agendas, drafting talking points, preparing meeting materials, and briefing participants
- Motivate stakeholders towards action, instilling urgency and ensuring work progresses according to agreed timelines
- Trouble-shoot implementation issues as they arise
Candidate description
Successful candidates must demonstrate an interest in delivering meaningful, measurable results for students. They will also have a thirst for learning about effective implementation, evaluation, and the Deliverology® approach, which is the basis for DA’s work around the world.
Successful candidates will be able to:

- Facilitate and communicate effectively –lead interactive workshops with stakeholders and deliver high quality training sessions to groups of trainees,
Specific requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and/or project management, preferably in an educational or public sector
- Located in Hawai’I, with US work authorization
- Written and spoken fluency in English
- Proficiency in a statistical programming language (i.e., Stata, R) preferred
