Summary
Alden Toiv brings to DA 15+ years of experience in the public sector. She began her career teaching first grade. Most recently, Alden successfully implemented significant initiatives at DC Public Schools, including leading the process to craft the 2017-2022 strategic plan, coordinating collaborative delivery units, and leading the operations team charged with implementing an organization-wide evaluation system.

Delivery Experience
Alden is currently working on capacity reviews to support teams in understanding how people and systems can meaningfully carry out programs and activities to deliver impact. This often-overlooked step in the policy-writing process is critically important in delivering for constituents.
Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Alden supported an organization in crafting, implementing, and tracking its strategic plan. Built on stakeholder input and created in a collaborative manner, the plan included a blueprint for implementation and was a cornerstone for the organization during the plan’s 5-year lifespan (including through COVID).
