Alek has worked in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors; he also has implementation experience with public sector clients at both the federal and city levels, and he currently supports U.S. Mayors through the American Cities Climate Challenge.
Alek works with national expert organizations and four U.S. city governments to support delivery of ambitious municipal climate policy goals. He has also built a results framework and quantitative reporting system to monitor ocean and coral reef conservation interventions around the world, centralizing data management, streamlining reporting, and enhancing the client's data and storytelling capacity.
Alek previously worked in federal public sector consulting and delivered data science services to clients, providing analysis and developing Key Performance Indicators to enable data-driven decision making in U.S. government agencies. He has also spent time in Brazil as a Fulbright Fellow researching national-level renewable energy policy, and worked in the nonprofit sector as a legal advocate and direct services provider for asylum seekers.
