From working at the UN headquarters to supporting decentralization of municipalities, Ali brings to DA his vast experience working with multilateral organisations, the public sector, NGOs, and the private sector to lead change through public policy. Ali is especially passionate about using environmental policy and greening energy systems to tackle climate change.
Education
Delivery Experience
Ali is working with the Lives and Livelihoods Fund within the Islamic Development Bank to mainstream an adaptive Results Based Management (aRBM) system. Ali engages with stakeholders at headquarters and at the regional and project levels.
Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Ali was a Data and Statistics Officer at the UN Secretariat under the Peacebuilding Fund, managing data and financial systems and leading on M&E reporting in more than 60 countries across the world. After starting his career as an engineer in renewable energy and energy efficiency in Jordan, Ali shifted his focus to working on environmental and energy policy with local communities and governments in order to expand his impact. To bridge his knowledge and skills, Ali completed his master's degree in Public Administration at Columbia University, focusing on climate change and management. Ali also brings public sector consultancy experience from working with Deloitte Tunisia on projects with the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Finance.
