Delivery Experience

As a regional leader for data and AI in Latin America and the Caribbean, Amarilis helps local governments in Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, and the Dominican Republic use data and emerging technologies to improve services for residents. She partners with officials to develop data strategies, address problems, and modernize areas like housing, waste management, public safety, and public health.

Other Experience

Before joining DA, Amarilis was a Deputy Director of the Foreign Exchange area in the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. There, she and her team automatized processes, effectively reducing the data processing time by 70%.

Amarilis has also mentored and coached 70+ students and young professionals since 2013, and she has experience coordinating master's programs in economics and public policy.
