Khalid is an experienced public sector consultant who is adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments while staying focused on equitable and effective outcomes. Khalid has lived and invested in cities for most of his life; he believes in their potential to make life better for the people who call them home.
Khalid worked with multiple partners – including funders, public health experts, and the U.S. Council of Mayors – to develop and publish a vaccination toolkit for U.S. Mayors, outlining their role in the national vaccination distribution effort, including data collection and management strategies. The work is designed to support effective and equitable vaccine distribution in cities, where nearly 80% of Americans make their home.
Prior to joining DA, Khalid was a consultant in the infrastructure and public sector practices at McKinsey & Co., working with development banks, governments and private investors on infrastructure investment strategies. He also has worked in a number of urban transportation startups in Dubai and San Francisco.
