Laurel seeks to strengthen DA’s work in climate, sustainability, and housing—collaborating with philanthropic partners to identify and deliver on “big bets” to drive large-scale impact. She fosters innovation and builds new partnerships across the United States, with a focus on long-term investments at the state and local levels as federal policy and investments evolve.
Between 2023-2025, Laurel served as Chief Implementation Officer for the Inflation Reduction Act at the US Department of the Treasury, where she oversaw delivery and implementation of Treasury's IRA investments—including the administration of clean energy tax credits and $60B investment in modernizing the Internal Revenue Service.
Previously, as Managing Director and Senior Advisor at Blue Meridian Partners, Laurel led $100M in philanthropic investments to support economic mobility for families across the United States. She also served as President of Enterprise Community Partners, a national affordable housing nonprofit, where she led a team of 250 working across 12 markets to deliver programmatic tools, policy support, and aligned capital investments.
From 2009-2013, Laurel was Chief of Staff to Secretary Shaun Donovan in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she led the Department’s strategic initiatives, including the first-ever performance management team. She also led a federal delivery unit focused on equitable long-term recovery after Superstorm Sandy. Prior to joining the federal government, she held numerous leadership roles at the local level in the administration of New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. She has been a member of two presidential transition teams and serves on several non-profit boards. Laurel lives with her family in Washington, DC.
