Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Lorena worked with multilaterals, governments, and civil society organizations across the globe to help alleviate poverty; reduce inequality; and improve health, education, and financial inclusion. She developed strategic partnerships with international cooperation agencies and public and private investment funds, and served in the Paraguayan Government as part of the Presidential Delivery Unit. Her work in Paraguay involved creating an e-wallet called Billetera Personal for the last-mile population, which led to 300,000+ people opening a bank account for the first time.
At The Office of the First Lady in Paraguay, Lorena wrote a technical document outlining the Office’s regulatory framework; mission, vision, and values; primary goals and strategic actions; organizational structure; financial resource mobilization strategy; and roadmap for the first 100 days.
