Marcela is passionate about helping people and public organizations achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Marcela has been collaborating with Bloomberg Philanthropies to provide guidance for the successful implementation of public innovation projects in European cities. During the last year, she provided early capacity building and ongoing coaching to city leaders in the Bloomberg Philanthropies Mayors Challenge program, supporting the implementation of programs across the region. Marcela is working on the scaling of proven solutions to urban challenges in Europe and other regions, creating a vibrant network of peer cities.
Previously, Marcela supported a global vaccine partnership in close collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, American Red Cross, the United Nations Foundation, CDC, Gavi, and the Gates Foundation to redefine their strategy, design a future partnership to achieve measles and rubella elimination, and best position the partnership for the decade ahead.
Prior to joining DA, Marcela worked as a senior manager for the Argentinean government at the federal level leading a team to streamline government transactions and enhance the business climate, citizen perception of government, and access to crucial public programs and services.
Before that, she spent two years at McKinsey & Company as a member of the social and public sector practice where she helped public sector organizations in Latin America implement large-scale operational changes and build their own capabilities.
Her passion for generating genuine impact for public sector organizations led her to work with governments at all administrative levels for several years, overseeing a wide range of areas including natural resources, economic development, education, and citizen services.
