Neha is working with Los Angeles County to support the development and implementation of their Alternative Crisis Response program, a complex and transformative redesign of the county’s crisis infrastructure reaching 80+ cities. The program aims to provide people experiencing a behavioral health emergency with a viable alternative to law enforcement, expanding on the rollout of the national 988 hotline.
To accelerate the delivery of this critical service, Neha helped establish and extensively support a delivery unit embedded in LA County’s Department of Mental Health, with an eye toward building government capacity and advancing equitable outcomes for residents.
Neha previously served on civic innovation teams in mayoral offices across the U.S., starting with the City of Los Angeles and working more recently with the City of Boston. During her time at these in-house city hall consultancies, her projects spanned public health, affordable housing, and urban technology. Before that, she managed the storytelling strategy for global brands in New York City.
