Romina is an economist and policymaker with more than six years’ experience designing and implementing strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation tools to improve public policy. She has worked in the public and private sectors, applying these tools to strengthen social policy related to education, inclusion, and housing.
Education
Delivery Experience
Romina is working on replicating and scaling innovative ideas with Bloomberg Philanthropies. She is excited to work with local governments interested in implementing evidence-based projects, and to learn alongside them about the best ways to generate results for their communities.
Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Romina worked at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Peru, where she led the team responsible for results-based management tools, including Budget Programs and the monitoring strategy. She coordinated the team's involvement in the 2022 expenditure programming (estimating budget ceilings and analyzing budget allocation), led the development of country guidelines for the monitoring strategy, and participated in developing guidelines for the design and implementation of Budget Programs. Romina also worked with the Ministry of Education on innovation, helping to design and implement multi-sector incentive tools, and to create new incentive schemes at the ministerial level as well as schemes focused on teachers and families.
