Ashleigh O'Mahony

Summary
As a public servant and consultant, Ashleigh has seen how governments can utilise delivery units and strong relationships to improve performance and deliver outcomes for citizens. From helping lead Western Australia’s COVID response to supporting the New South Wales Premier’s Implementation Unit, Ashleigh has extensive experience building and sustaining relationships even in tricky situations, using data to make decisions and communicate to leaders, and applying delivery tools to solve complex social problems.

Delivery Experience

Ashleigh is working on the Bloomberg Global Mayors Challenge as a Project Lead covering four projects in Jordan, the Philippines, India, and New Zealand. She is excited to work with the talented and smart people on the ground in these countries to help advance their vision into long-term and sustainable outcomes, and to share Deliverology tools to build their delivery capacity.

Other Experience

Ashleigh spent five years working in the New South Wales Premier's Implementation Unit, a world-leading delivery unit centered on supporting government agencies to deliver the Premier's Priorities. In this role, she worked to reduce childhood overweight and obesity, and her team successfully implemented health school canteens in public schools across New South Wales.

Ashleigh also worked as a consultant in the health sector with a focus on public health, monitoring and evaluation, and health system strengthening. More recently, Ashleigh supported the Western Australian government’s COVID-19 response. Her work involved developing policies and tools to prepare the state for managing COVID, and supporting Government decision-making around measures and programmes to protect the community.
